Delisle Walwyn & Co. Ltd. – St. Kitts and S.E.L. Maduro & Sons – St. Maarten Sign Agreement of Sale for Joint Venture in St. Maarten

Delisle Walwyn & Co. Ltd. of St. Kitts and S.E.L. Maduro & Sons of St. Maarten are pleased to announce that they have completed negotiations, achieved shareholder/board approval, and signed an Agreement of Sale regarding a joint venture between the two firms to provide port agency and shore excursion services to the cruise industry in St. Maarten.

A new joint venture company, namely Delisle Walwyn St. Maarten B.V., will be formed and owned jointly by Delisle Walwyn & Co.Ltd. – St. Kitts and S.E.L. Maduro & Sons – St. Maarten. Legal closing of the joint venture transaction and the start of operations by Delisle Walwyn St. Maarten B.V. is scheduled for January 2018.

Clayton Perkins, Executive Chairman of Delisle Walwyn & Co. Ltd., and Brenda Wathey, Managing Director of S.E.L. Maduro & Sons – St. Maarten, commented that this joint venture will set a new benchmark in the delivery and quality of services, of innovation in shore excursion experiences, and in their ability to provide solutions to future challenges experienced by their cruise industry partners.

Delisle Walwyn & Co. Ltd. is the oldest incorporated private company on St. Kitts having been in business for more than 150 years. When combined with S.E.L. Maduro & Sons – St. Maarten, the two companies have more than ninety years of experience as the premier providers on their respective islands of port agency and shore excursion services to the cruise industry.
This joint venture will create one of the highest volume and most dynamic port agency/shore excursion providers in the Eastern Caribbean, servicing more than twenty-five cruise lines on each island and offering over fifty tours on a combined basis.
