CONCACAF paves way for more competitions in Caribbean region

A recent initiative of the Confederation of North, Central American and Caribbean (CONCACAF) will see teams from its 41 member associations engaged in a unified year-round competition platform.

This initiative, however, which would certainly find favour with many football nations in the Caribbean region that are starved of much competition, will not come on stream until 2019.A CONCACAF release stated that the format of the new initiative provides for a more quality, meaningful competition, and that the schedule and structure would be unveiled by early 2018.
