BASSETERRE, St. Kitts – ONE of the Federation’s talented young sprinters, Antoine Adams, has his sight set on remaining fit for the entire upcoming international athletic season, as he works toward bringing more glory to the country in the track and field arena.
Adams and other athletes from St. Kitts and Nevis have their eyes focused on qualifying for the 2017 IAAF World Championships slated for London, England.
And Adams, who recently took time out from his training schedule to compete at the inaugural Giant Malt Relay Festival with the national team, told reporters that his main aim is to compete on the international stage at full capacity.
He indicated that during the early portions of the outdoor season, he is looking to produce credible times before competing at the World Meet.
“Every year, my aim is to run faster and faster. I am not doing any indoors this year, so my offseason preparation is a lot longer this year. I am more focused on the outdoor season and getting as strong as possible. So, once I am healthy I will try to run as fast as possible.”
